What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I was a sales rep for Blackstone Grills, ICON Health and Fitness and Riddell Helmets. That allowed me to work alongside some of the largest retailers in America.

Where did you grow up?
Bedford, Texas

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to be a professional baseball player. However I only made it to college.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I enjoy being outside hunting, fishing and playing sports with my two sons.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I would love to meet George W. Bush. I just think he’s a great person who led our country through very hard times while remaining happy.

What is Dallas-Fort Worth’s best-kept secret?
The Woodshed in downtown Fort Worth. It is the best patio in DFW to listen to live music and hang out on a sunny day.

What do you love most about the industry?
Networking with like-minded individuals and helping improve our industry.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I am 6 feet 5 inches, so that helps with sticking out in a crowd. I also volunteer at my local association, MetroTex. I serve as a board member, YPN chair and Texas Realtor director.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
The most difficult aspect of real estate is that our income is up and down, which can cause a lot of stress.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
I love watching other agents win! Our industry can be isolating, so I enjoy collaborating with other agents so we can all thrive in this industry.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I am currently rewatching “The Wire.” In my opinion it’s the best TV series of all time.

What’s your favorite meal in Dallas-Fort Worth?
It’s a tie between a Perry’s pork chop on Fridays for lunch, or steak fajitas at La Hacienda Ranch in Colleyville.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Dallas-Fort Worth?
The T&P building in downtown Fort Worth. It has an amazing history and it’s the first place my wife and I lived together.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Walking in on squatters while showing a house.

What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
Hawaii, because it’s the prettiest place I have ever been. I enjoy being able to snorkel at Electric Beach in the morning. It’s peaceful swimming with dolphins, sharks and turtles.

What is your favorite city after Dallas-Ft. Worth?
Chicago! The city is walkable, food’s incredible, and summer patio weather is hard to beat.

Network with agents outside of your brokerage.
