What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I worked in the mortgage industry for five years out of college and did a university program with Countrywide. We toured many different locations across the country in retail, wholesale and correspondence.
Where did you grow up?
Dallas mainly — born in the Midwest and live my Midwest roots!
Growing up, what did you want to be?
My mom was a real estate agent my whole life, so I often thought of being a Realtor but really wanted to be a mom and a teacher. Then I graduated college and got into the mortgage business and started working with my mom in real estate 20 years ago.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I love restoring furniture, vintage shopping and being with my three kids and all their activities.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Teresa and Anne Frank — all of their lives and despair they faced fascinate me.
What is Dallas-Fort Worth’s best-kept secret?
Oak Cliffs’ beauty, homes, hills and diversity! It’s not really a secret but such a gem!
What do you love most about the industry?
The ability to really get to know a family on a deep level and to help when they need an extra hand and voice of reason!
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
I am humble and resourceful! I am not looking for a sale, rather really trying to make the correct move for their life changes!
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
When repairs hinder a deal that could have been fixable!
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Get out and talk to people, talk to neighbors and be a resource for people.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
I love documentaries about a struggle that made someone better and stronger in the end.
What’s your favorite meal in Dallas-Fort Worth?
Pane Vino Osteria is my favorite place, I love everything there!
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Dallas-Fort Worth?
The Nasher Museum
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
I was showing houses to a client and one of the houses was a sweatshop.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
That I used to own a motorcycle and have my motorcycle license!
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
I love the mountains but also love San Diego area.
What is your favorite city after Dallas-Fort Worth?
Chicago or San Diego

Buckle up and stay on top of contract changes!
