The Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS® honored eight Fort Worth-area real estate professionals at its Annual Spring Awards Luncheon.

“It is an exciting time in the Fort Worth real estate market as the area continues to evolve and grow,” GFWAR president Paul Epperley said in a press release. “Celebrating the exceptional professionals who are making strides within the industry and the community with these prestigious awards sparks our membership to provide an even greater level of service to our clients.”

Bart Calahan of Roots Real Estate was named Charles McMillan Realtor of the Year. A longtime GFWAR member, Calahan was recognized for his service, leadership and commitment to championing the value of Realtors.

Meanwhile, Eddie Forte of TD Realty won the Marie and Dayton Sheridan Realtor Spirit Award; Sherry McKenzie of American Home Shield won Affiliate of the Year; and Gaye Reed of Coldwell Banker won the A.L. Purvis Distinguished Service Award. Michael Karol of Compass also won the Charles D. Tandy Award for commercial achievements.

Joan Trew, who passed away in December, became the first annual recipient of the Joan Trew TREPAC Legacy Award. Connie Davis also earned the award, based on her dedication to civic engagement in the real estate industry.

Finally, Robbie Renfro of Achievers was designated as an Emeritus status NAR Realtor in recognition of his 40 years of service.
