What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Being a branch manager for a large mortgage company really helped set me up as a future Realtor. However, working in a small town coffee shop while I was 16 to 20 years old was a priceless and fun experience.
Where did you grow up?
The “Hallmark Town” of Fairhope, Alabama
Growing up, what did you want to be?
A stay at home mom.

I hate to relax. If I sit, I sleep. I like stress and am perfectly fine living with it … ha!
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Jesus, how could a believer not answer Jesus?
What is Dallas-Fort Worth’s best-kept secret?
Dallas has so many amazing things about it, it’s hard to pick just one. The family-friendly fun, the luxury shopping, the dining that is some of the best in this great nation. Living and working in the Dallas area is such a privilege.
What do you love most about the industry?
Helping someone achieve a dream or goal that they think is so far-fetched is something I never knew I would experience ever, much less time and time again.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
Truly its referrals. I don’t know why, but so many shout my name from their rooftops and I am so grateful. I answer my phone when it rings. I know that’s so simple, but it’s also uncommon in this industry. People need what they need as soon as they need it and I strive to make no one wait, and to have each client think they’re my only client.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Not having a schedule. There is no way to be successful (or I just haven’t figured it out yet) and have a set schedule. Each day is full of different needs and when those needs need to be met is always a changing schedule.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Love your people. Not because it brings you success but because they’re your people and you love them. They’ll love you back.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
So thankful that I am too busy to have an answer to this question.
What’s your favorite meal in Dallas-Fort Worth?
The one I am eating with my husband, cheesy I know, but I am obsessed with the guy.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Dallas-Fort Worth?
Fountain Place. I have loved it since I was an Alabama girl in high school. I so badly want to get a potato sack and slide down it.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
My loan officer husband saving a listing for me. Buyer was being turned down by their own lender, so I talk to buyer’s agent about having their client reach out to my hubs. They do, and he saves the deal, making all involved over the moon excited. It happens way more often than you’d think.
What’s one thing people are surprised to learn about you?
I have a son with Down syndrome.
What is your favorite vacation spot and why?
We have a cabin in Broken Bow we visit often, but for my family, vacations are about going and seeing and doing, never relaxing. I don’t often visit the same place twice because there is so much to see in this world … but if there was one place I could go to a million times it would have to be Italy.
What is your favorite city after Dallas-Fort Worth?
My own, Rockwall. The people here are so friendly. The town is so charming. The parks & rec department works hard to make it a fun place for families. I love it here so much.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Hustle constantly, working harder than everyone else, be proactive.

I feel that realtor.com is the most fair conveyor of MLS info to the public.
