Median price down in DFW as homes spend about 1 week longer on market

Dallas-Fort Worth’s median home price decreased 2.5% year over year to $385,000 in March, according to the latest Housing Report from the MetroTex Association of REALTORS®.

Home sales increased 4.8% year over year, with 8,229 closings — but on average, those homes stayed on market eight days longer than homes sold in March 2025. The typical home sold in 103 days: 71 days for sale, plus 32 days to close.

Active listings increased during the month, with 30,767 homes for sale across the Metroplex. Given the rate of sales, inventory reached a four-month supply, representing a slight increase in market balance from last March, when there was a 3.9-month supply.
