For the first time in generations, the historic Ebenezer Hancock House in Boston is on the market.
Founding Father John Hancock, famed signer of the Declaration of Independence, owned the home and purportedly hid nearly 2 million French silver crowns there during the Revolutionary War. That loan from the French government helped fund American soldiers.
With many original details, the Ebenezer Hancock House is the only surviving vernacular structure from the 1700’s in central Boston. The three-story building currently serves as a law office, but it’s also a stop on Boston’s Freedom Trail.
