New-home sales fall in Dallas-Fort Worth

Dallas-Fort Worth’s new-home market experienced monthly sales declines for the second month in a row in August, HomesUSA reported.

Homebuyers purchased 2,027 new homes during the month, down from 2,141 in July but up from 1,862 in August 2024. Pending listings also declined annually, with 2,432 listings going under contract.

The average new-home price dropped to $459,758, down from $489,762 a year prior.

Meanwhile, new-home inventory climbed to over 9,000 listings.
