by Emily Marek

The Dallas-Fort Worth median home price held steady at $389,715 in September, according to the latest Housing Report from the MetroTex Association of REALTORS®. That was unchanged from last September.

Amid unchanging prices, closed home sales rose 5% year over year, with 7,666 homes sold in September. Active listings also increased 18.6% year over year, with 35,465 homes in the MLS, as listings spent eight more days on the market than a year prior (63 days for sale, plus 32 days to close).

Given the rate of sales, the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex had a 4.6-month inventory, up from four months in September 2024.
