Active listings grew 24.4% last month as more sellers put their homes on the market, according to the latest housing report from the Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS® (GFWAR).
Meanwhile, 737 homes sold, a 3.8% decrease year over year. The ZIP code with the highest number of sales — 190 — was 76179 (northern Fort Worth in Tarrant County), followed by 76028 (Johnson County) with 124 sales and 76020 (Parker County) with 102 sales.
Given the rate of sales in February, Fort Worth had a 3.1-month inventory — up from 2.5 months in February 2024.
Meanwhile, the median home price remained relatively stable, increasing 1.5% year over year to $329,900.
“As we enter the spring home-buying and selling season, active listings and months of inventory will increase in the area,” GFWAR President Paul Epperley said in a press release. “More inventory will likely bring more home options at varying price points to the market, making homeownership attainable for a wider range of people.”
