Home sales flat in the Metroplex

Dallas-Fort Worth home sales were flat on a year-over-year basis in May with 9,446 homes sold, according to the latest Housing Report from the MetroTex Association of REALTORS®.

Amid stagnant sales activity, active listings increased by 51.4% year over year, with 25,926 homes on the market. Inventory reached a 3.5-month supply, well above the 2.2-month supply seen in May 2023.

The typical home stayed on the market for 76 days: 44 days on market, plus 32 days to close.

Meanwhile, the median price rose 1.2% year over year to $410,000. In April, the median price was $405,000.
