Texas A&M: DFW single-family home sales dip 4.1% in August

The pace of single-family home sales in the Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington MSA slid 4.1% year over year in August to 7,623 transactions from 7,948 a year earlier, according to Texas A&M. 

Month over month, sales were down from 7,877 deals in July, the university said in its latest Monthly MSA Spotlight report. 

The median sales price also declined, sliding 0.3% year over year, from $404,300 to $403,040.  

Inventory for single-family homes rose from 2.7 months in August 2023 and 3.8 months in July to four months in August. Days to sell rose from 72 in August 2023 to 81.
