Several of the fastest-growing ZIP codes in the country are located in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, according to a new study from RentCafe.
The fastest-growing Texas ZIP was 76177 in Fort Worth, which grew from 2,774 housing units in 2014 to over 10,000 units in 2023 — a 266% increase. The population surged by 302% that time.
Also on the rise during the past decade was the 75078 ZIP in Prosper, where the housing supply increased 243% (from 4,196 units to 14,409), and the 75454 ZIP in Melissa, where the supply jumped 222% (from 1,956 units to 6,289).
RentCafe predicts several nearby ZIPs are set to become the fastest growing of the next decade. The 76044 ZIP code in Godley saw a 128% population increase during the past decade, as well as a 23% increase in highly educated residents and a 28% increase in the area median income — all promising indicators of future growth.
Also on RentCafe’s list for future growth are 75078 in Prosper and 75009 in Celina.
