Two years after his original departure from the company, Mark McLaughlin is returning to Compass as the company’s chief real estate strategist. McLaughlin previously served as the president of Compass California before resigning to rebuild his venture capital firm.

In his new role, McLaughlin will focus on elevating the agent experience, according to a press release.

“Returning to Compass allows me to continue to give back to an industry I love at a company where I have a passion for success,” he said. “I can make a difference in our pursuit of greatness at Compass.”

McLaughlin brings over 30 years of industry experience to his position as chief strategist. His past professional experience includes roles with Colliers International, Jones Lang LaSalle, LoopNet, Morgan Lane Marin and Pacific Union International.
