Dallas home sales decline in June

Home sales in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex declined 11.6% year over year in June, according to the most recent report from the MetroTex Association of REALTORS®.

Active listings increased by 44.7% amid decreased home sales, with 27,901 properties on the market last month. Months of inventory reached 3.8, much higher than the 2.5-month supply seen in June 2023.

On average, homes took five days longer to sell, with the typical home staying on the market for 78 days — 45 days on market, plus 33 days to close.

Meanwhile, the median price fell 1.2% year over year to $405,000. In May 2024, the median price was $410,000.
