by Emily Marek

Blake Barry, Elizabeth McCoy, Laura Kelley and Morgan Graffigna were among the recipients at the Annual Spring Awards (via GFWAR).

The Greater Fort Worth Association of REALTORS® recognized five honorees at its Annual Spring Awards on April 8.

“Texas’ real estate industry is in flux, and Fort Worth is an area that is a proven growth market year after year,” said GFWAR President Shawn Buck. “The Realtor professionals we are honoring are making a mark on our industry and our community during this evolution, and we all aspire to be like these honorees who make Fort Worth a more desirable place to live.”

Among the recipients was Blake Barry of Williams Trew Real Estate, who won The Charles McMillan Realtor of the Year award. A former GFWAR board president and board member since 2020, Barry is also a director for the National Association of REALTORS®.

GFWAR cited Barry’s “steady leadership” and “unwavering support” of industry peers as evidence of his service to the Fort Worth real estate market.

Additional awards included the Marie and Dayton Sheridan Realtor Spirit Award, presented to Laura Kelley of RJ Williams & Company; the Joan Trew TREPAC Legacy Award, presented to Elizabeth McCoy of Williams Trew Real Estate; and Affiliate of the Year, presented to Morgan Graffigna of Alamo Title Company.

The association also posthumously awarded Tony Sims the A.L. Purvis Distinguished Service Award for his long-term impacts on the Realtor profession thanks to his work at the local, state and national level.

“When you meet a Realtor, you meet someone who cares deeply for their community,” said GFWAR CEO Suzanne Westrum. “Realtors are committed to making the Fort Worth area a desirable place to live, whether that’s through advancing the profession or advocating for personal property rights. GFWAR members are dedicated to the sustainable growth of the industry and our region.”
