Tellus Group broke ground on Sherley Farms, a new master-planned community located in Anna.

For the first phase of development, the developer will deliver a mix of 45- to 70-foot lots to builders Bloomfield Homes, DRB Homes, Drees Custom Homes, Highland Homes, Homebound, Olivia Clarke Homes and Perry Homes. Future phases will feature estate-sized lots.

Infrastructure development is underway, with lots set to be delivered to builders late this year.

Upon completion, the 970-acre community will contain about 3,000 homes and a working farm with fresh produce. Planned amenities include a resort-style pool.

“Sherley Farms is a meaningful investment in Anna’s future, expanding our tax base, attracting new residents and driving long-term economic growth,” said Kevin Toten, Anna’s acting mayor. “This project will generate new economic activity, support local businesses and strengthen Anna’s position as a destination for high-quality development in North Texas.”
